Preserving Natural Resources For You

Preserve habitats for endangered species

Preserving our natural resources it is a fulltime job, and ever since forming Martin County’s only land trust in 2008, the Treasured Lands Foundation has been busy. We’ve forged lasting partnerships, protected land from development, rehabilitated neglected wildlife sanctuaries, advocated on behalf of endangered natural resources and informed and inspired future environmental stewards.

By teaming with conservationists, landowners, wildlife advocates, community leaders and people who understand just how great the great outdoors are, we’re working to make sure Martin County remains naturally beautiful.

Our strategic vision is to “Keep our treasured Martin County special by permanently safeguarding natural land and water resources.” Our mission is to maintain “The Martin County Difference” through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and proven conservation tools such as land trusts to build upon a protected network for wildlife and improved water resources.

“For the love of the land!”

The more you enjoy our natural resources, the more you understand our fragile environmental systems which ensure our water supply, mitigate climate change, and maintain our quality of life. Do you realize the beautiful St. Lucie River, linked to the Indian River Lagoon in Martin County, FL is one of the most biologically diverse estuaries in North America?
